Punk Yarn Creations

I bet you didn’t know how easily yarn and crafty creations could discover their punk side and become something to scream about.  Truth, it wasn’t something I new, either, and it’s doubtful pinterest will ever acknowledge this fact.  But, there it is, an undeniable truth set free by my glue gun.

???????????????????????????????

What you see (just in case there’s any need for clarification) is the story of The Ugly Duckling, in all its finger puppet glory.   We have on the left the duckling family, led by Momma duck and trailed by her minion ducklings and the poor little Ugly Duckling on the end.  There’s also a little girl, a dog, cat, chicken, pink old lady, and patriotic dude who’s role seems to be looking like he misplaced his parade.  Front and center is the Ugly Duckling transformed into the scariest beautiful swan rocker you ever laid eyes on.  Pretty sure he’s got a record deal coming out soon–stay tuned for that!

Since I had one or two fingers which hadn’t yet been blistered, we also made 10+ pompom pens.  The R girl wanted to give some to her G’ma and others to all–all–of her teachers.  These two will go in her stocking and were made in the secret hours of the night, with only my yelps to break the silence.

???????????????????????????????

As you can see, by the time I got to these, I could no longer focus, so have officially closed up shop on Christmas crafts.  Of course, that came a day too late for me to keep my Middle Grade Monday book spotlight commitment to the blog, but I did post a recommendation for four books on the group blog, as part of the Cabinet’s 12 Days of Christmas books countdown.  Drop by, and you’ll see that I’ve got something for everyone!

Best of luck if you’re still in the woes of holiday prep, and may your fingers and glue gun ever be at peace!

No idea if they work on toes, but now I feel a compulsion to try them there! lol Totally worth the burns, so long as the R girl (who’s getting them) likes them. I’m concerned she may be terrified. 😛

I think I relate to the pink man the best, because of his expression, but they’re all SO cute! I love how you put loving time into sweet gifts, your R-girl will adore them :).
