Flash Friday: Cloudy with a Chance of Sneezing

Today is National Ditch New Years Resolutions Day, which I think is just the funniest thing in the world.  What does that give us?  One week to sort of keep them, one week to come to hate them, and a few days to admit they’re not happening?  Definitely quitting well before any positive patterns in behavior could become habit, anyway.

In honor of this drop dead funny day, we’re supposed to do a flash piece on someone behaving badly–which normally I’d be all over.  But today, for reasons that will quickly become apparent, I’m giving you a flash bit combining two of the most pernicious reason we fail in our health goals–enjoy!

Cloudy With a Chance of Sneezing

Here we are, heading into the weekend!  And unfortunately, the forecast doesn’t look good for those planning to travel or get out.  We’ve had a bank of Kleenostratus clouds form, pushed in by the germ front that followed you home from that school event last night.  As you can see from the picture below, these Kleenostratus clouds are really piling up, so you can expect this system to stick around for awhile.

???????????????????????????????

Meanwhile, a streaming front has been pushed down from the Northern hemisphere and taken up residence in the nasal tropics.  This front brings with it a 90% chance of sneezing, folks.  Of course that will probably include some shivers and sniffles, so better hunker down in bed and wait for this thing to blow over.  Eat your chicken noodle soup and with any luck, you’ll have kicked the cough and be back on your feet before the next germ front moves in.

There you have it–the beauty and majesty of Mother Nature, manifest in all her Kleenostratus glory.  Though I don’t actually plan to ditch my new year’s resolutions, I do plan to use this ‘cold front’ as my excuse for curling up with a book while the kids clean the house.  What about you?  What’s the number one thing that gets in the way of your New Years Resolutions?

Ha ha, your kleenex cloud rocks!! Virginia weather is always flighty, so I’m hoping the front heads away from our place, but thanks for the forecast! Hope it ditches you, soon, too!

Thanks, it is a pretty nice bit of piled fluff, isn’t it? lol Pretty sure this front moved down from the north, so you guys should be safe. Here’s hoping that’s true!
