Doing the WorldCon Jig

We’re in!  The last piece of our puzzle, the hotel suite, just fell into place.  We’ve got the tickets, of course the membership/passes, and now the room.  Yahoo!

We’ve been so crazy busy, and life has been so crowded, I’m not sure I believed this would work out.  Of course, we’ll still have to get ourselves on a plane that will stay up long enough to get us to Colorado…

But I’m ready to believe it’ll really happen now.  With my classwork wrapping up (my graduation is actually the next weekend after WorldCon, we’ll be driving straight to Utah and BYU for the walk after leaving the con) and our move going forward in a month, this trip to WorldCon will also mark my return to real writing.  You know, the kind that happens on paper, and preferably with some rhyme and reason.  All my writing time for at least the last year has been in the stolen moments of the nether hours.  That’ll get me by with short stories, maybe, but I couldn’t allow myself the time for a novel.

Until now.

Or, until August.  And with WorldCon inked onto the calendar, August just got a little closer.
