I’ve been rifling through Diana Wynne Jones “Tough guide to Fantasyland” for quite some time now, and have always thorougly enjoyed it.  But today I had a lightbulb moment.  Wouldn’t it be cool if I could write a Guide to my fantasy world?

Obviously is wouldn’t be intended for publication, but it would give me a place to keep all my pertinent facts and backhistory in an easily accessabile spot.  It would also help me make sure all my facts lined up, and maybe help prevent cliches by stripping the material down to the minimum prose.

I kind of like the idea.  Formating it on a computer could prove a nightmare…but that’s what my techi guru is for, right?
