Wednesday rolled through, and I didn’t get up a post up. Truth is, I don’t even remember much of my Wednesday besides the feeling of being busy, and my gratitude that we only had a small grocery list.
Now it’s Friday, and I’m in the mood to blog, but I can’t decide if this post will count as a belated Wednesday post, or an early Saturday. You decide?
I’m thankful most of the time, being the kind of person who doesn’t take life for granted. Otoh, I’ve found that certain things induce feelings of thankfulness on Thanksgiving day. My family healthy and well, that’s one. We didn’t quite make that one this year, but I’ll count it anyway since we were on the mend. Blue skies overhead, that’s another. Pumpkin pie, made the way I like is an essential. Hey, a girl’s got to have her priorities! Oh, and an addition this year that saved my dinner? An oven roasting bag leftover from last Thanksgiving. Yay!
Of course, given that I’m posting this on Black Friday, I’m also thankful today for hoarded gift cards now spent, sales that ring up as they should, water bottles to keep me going, and people who surprise me when they’re pleasant after all.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
