Of all the time and labor services that have entered homes in the last one hundred years, it seems to me that the kitchen has been most revolutionized. We prep after pulling the food from our fridge, wash up in the sink, saute on the cooktop, reheat in the microwave, and cleanup in the dishwasher.
But in spite of all that, it’s still people doing the actual cooking.Â
But maybe not for much longer. The AIC-Ci Cookingrobot can whip up all your favorite asian foods–mongolian BBQ, fried rice, wontons, spring rolls, to name a few of mine–and can do it as quickly as a human can. Reports say it may be ready for sale as early as 2007, but I’m guessing that will be a restuarant model in pricing and size.Â
When they get an in-home model ready to go, I’ll be the first in line.
