Calorie Burn: Midnight vs. Morn

With travel and swim season ahead and the best of new year’s intentions behind, I’ve come out of hibernation to trim off a few pounds.

As always, this process is full of choices.  Do I really want that chocolate cake?  Even if it means an extra hour on my stationary rower?  Shall I skip the workout today and enjoy some down time with a book?  Or will I regret that deciscion when dinner is leak soup, no cream, no crackers.

So with calories in mind I’m wondering which hours of the day we burn the most.  Assuming we are up the same total hours a day and doing roughly the same thing, which hours would we burn more?  Those from 10:00pm to midnight, or those from 6:00am to 8:00am?

After all, shedding pounds is all about choices, and choices are all about perspective on the information available.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that we burn more while sleeping, but I couldn’t tell you where to look to prove that. I’m probably incredibly wrong.
I linked you on my blog, just so you know 🙂
