Craft: Silent Communication

Sharon leaned forward to check the map on the side of the train.  Her body swayed with the rythm of the rails.  She reached out and grabbed the pool next to her, and just in time.  The train banked into a turn and her body went into a swooping lean that was only kept in check by her hand on the poll.

It was like a dance, she thought.  One that was performed every workday by herself and all the other commuters.  She smiled at that thought, and noticed a smiling face looking back at her in the reflected glass just beside her.

The young man’s eyes stayed on hers, but he sent his body into a graceful arc as the train straightened out of a bend.

Together their bodies shifted and swayed as the train sped down the track.
