We had a great Father’s Day, which was topped off by some extra happy news.  My story, ‘Watcher in the Dark’, has been accepted by Eric Reynolds of Hadley Rille Books for their Ruins anthology.  This is an adventure story set in other-world ruins, and involves a struggle between the Independent Recovery Team headed by Captain Tung, an ancient watcher, and pirates.  Gotta have pirates, right?

To say I was jumping up and down would be an understatment.  Good thing, as I ate a lemon cake dessert after dinner and also snacked on Belgian chocolate covered cherries.

Not sure this acceptance burned off all those calories.  Better get writing and see what else I can get accepted. ;)
