Dressing Up

Yesterday I recieved a heavy box full of my next batch of textbooks.  Nine books for the Modern China class, two for World History, and one for Modern US History.  I pulled out my school calender and got busy with a highlighter and pen, fitting these classes into the schedule.

Because I’m an Independent Study student, I can take classes as I want, as fast as I can swallow them.  At this point I’m so sick of the all-consuming pursuit of a degree that I just want to get it finished.  To that end, I’m taking my classes at a break-neck speed and plan to be in the final throes by this coming June, then walk in August of 2008.

To that end, I looked through my nice dresses last night after I should have been asleep, and tried on a blue dress I haven’t yet worn.  It’s a little on the fancy side, but otherwise perfect.  It’s even cougar blue.  So now that I have the important things settled, like what I’ll wear, perhaps it’s time to forge ahead and graduate.
