My Doubly-Delayed Announcement

I mentioned before that I would be making an announcement about a new venture, but our guidelines didn’t satisfy and I felt I should plead the fifth rather than stumble through an apologetic attempt at posting the guidelines here.  However, after sending the entire editorial board off to wrestle Syrian spiders (rather like Bengalese tigers, but with more legs) and then leaving everyone out in a Martian sunstorm for the better part of an afternoon, we made everyone listen to reason and talk sense.  In other words, I got my way.

Er, that is, we came to a concurrence, which happened to coincide with the arguments put forth by yours truly.

So, that explains the first delay in making my announcement.  The second delay was due to the flood of submissions we’ve received since changing the guidelines and my general seasonal business, which does not exclude taking my finals and washing Syrian spider guts out of my favorite suit.

That said, I am finally ready to anounce the launch of The Sigurd Journal.  I’ve given it a page, just like my publications and links pages, and have placed the guidelines there.  As director of the editorial board I’ll try to keep things up to date and generally keep you all informed of goings on.

Thanks for your patience!
