With the back-to-back trips coming up, I’ve had to remind myself to breath. At times like this, a few stolen minutes outdoors go a long way toward restoring sanity, so we dodged over to Jordan Lake the other evening.
This was the king-daddy toad, one of many to hop across our path.
And this is a shot of an island out in the lake. You can’t see them in the pic, but there were white wading birds (to far away to identify without binoculars) fishing around the island shores.
This last pic was taken a little closer to home–our backyard. The deer weren’t sure what to make of the camera sounds, but my cough sent their white flags into the air. Wonder if they would have run as easily had they been browsing on our garden?
