The Not So Happening Goings-on

I hadn’t realized how much finishing the first draft of Shadow Dance took out of me.  Or getting the old house to closing.  Or…yeah.  So maybe there’s been a bit more going on.

But the truth is I’ve slept a lot the last couple days.  And since that doesn’t make for very interesting blogging (unless I record my snores and let you all decipher the secret language?) I’ve decided to throw up this post to report that yes, I am still above ground and among the living.

Plus a link.  Our daughter is considering decor schemes for her bedroom and we came across these incredible murals by Morgan.  I swear, some of them look like you could walk right through, even in a photograph.  Truly inspiring.

It’s PNSD – Post Novel Stress Disorder.

After I finished my novella/will-be-novel/thing I literally was in a funk for days. It was a natural reaction to having written SO HARD for so many days (I think one day I wrote 4 or even 5,000 words – it was more than I’ve ever written in one day before, that’s for sure!). It’s happened to me with every novel I’ve finished, too.

Hey I have a question for you. How did you find/make your progress bar? I’d love to have something similar to keep track of my progress on Christmas presents this year….

PNSD–I love it! I’m sure the push to the end taking place in the a.m. didn’t help, either!

The progress meter came from the toolbox on Writertopia–I think they’re intended for NaNoWriMo folks, but it’s available for anyone. One note–you need to have your html box open in order for it to work. If you just write the html code into the post it won’t work–or at least, it didn’t for me.

    Good luck with it!
