Maybe it’s that I’m finally getting around to painting my office space in the basement–which will be sky blue.  Maybe it’s our Florida trip mid-January.  Whatever the reason, I’m really having fun working on the underwater world for my Keela novels.  It’s so fun to scheme up diverse societies for the Mer, and dream up their various interactions with the marine flora and fauna.  Of course, a lot of the first book will take place on the human side, near a magic-infested university, but it’s on an island so there will still be some chances for Keela to interact with the ocean.  Here’s a cool site, The Diveblog, which I’m adding to my blogroll.  Lot of neat pics–don’t know how he gets pictures like that while he’s muck diving!
