I started Popcorn Potion, the novel, tonight.  Yay!

For the last week I’ve been fussing at the characters, fixating over details in the outline, and floundering in the rules of magic.  Tonight I slapped myself and stopped.  Everything that could be planned out ahead of time already was and I just needed to get out of my own way and let the story come.  So, I did.

At the end of the week I’ll post a new word counter.  It may not have much to say for itself as this week also includes a day at the dentist–and you know that’s my most favoritest pasttime–a day in which I watch my friend’s newborn so she can have surgery, and any last minute oh-crap-school’s-starting stuff.

But regardless of all that, I am once again making myself accountable to you, my readers, for a report on my novel’s progression.
