We tried out a new concoction cooked over the fire tonight.  These are Flame Grilled Mini Cakes, so dubbed by yours truly.

Here we have the tidy prep of the oranges.  Each was hollowed out and filled with cake batter.

 

And here we have the deliciously messy finished product.

 

The orange flavor was subtle but very fresh, and had just a hint of toasting to it.  My only complaint?  Oranges should come in a larger size. 🙂
