While working in the garden this morning I noticed our cat watching a five gallon bucket which was upside down. The look on her face made me curious, so I went to check it out. Usually the buckets get filled with water for the chickens and poultry to drink when in the yard, but this one was obviously empty.
As I got closer the cat acted a bit guilty, but didn’t move off–and I realized the bucket was quietly cheeping. I turned it over, and sure enough, out walked our guinea fowl.
The question is, did he pull a savvy move and hide from his tormentor, or was he being set aside for luncheon?
