In a flock of 13 golden-red chickens and two fat turkeys there lives one guinea. Not a terribly cute guinea, or bright, but he has learned well from his over-sized turkey parents.
For example, the best water is in the orange buckets in the pasture, the chickens are to be tolerated but never liked, and if the guinea ‘accidentally’ flaps over the pasture fence? Well, he’s stuck on the wrong side, because guineas may be excellent flyers, but turkeys aren’t!
Unfortunately I can’t take credit for the pic–our guinea never holds still! Thanks to Country Farm Girl for the great return on my image search.
