Picking Up a Bit of Russian

No, I’m not talking about a hot Russian love interest, nor the latest and most expensive caviar.  I’m speaking of the language, but I think it would be easier to pick up the guy and the fish eggs.

My Russian soon-to-be sister-in-law is joining the family here in America this winter, and we thought it would be cool to know a little Russian.  Of course, when we said ‘know a little Russian’ we meant, carry on a conversation for several minutes and amaze the room.

But after attempting to learn a few words, that expectation has been scaled back a bit.

We do have several months in which to work, but right now, I just might be able to say ‘no’ without butchering the accent . . . but even that’s debatable.
