Okay, so hopefully I’ve finally solved my problems with spam comments. It turns out that Akismet (thanks again for the recommendation, Jordan) was sitting in my account waiting for me to turn it on all along. Ye know, I’m finding that sometimes it’s a good thing to read those blabbery notices sent when you start up a page. Sometimes.
Sooo, when I’d finished feeling like an idiot even by neanderthal standards I enabled the filter and changed my options so folks don’t have to login to comment.
Now I’ll just sit back, and hope this works… I’m sure it will be obvious if it doesn’t.
