Writing Report and News This Hallow’s Eve

I know this is late notice, but sometimes that just means you can’t forget about the event, and may actually have your schedule pinned down.

So, celebrate the Durham Art Walk this Saturday, Nov. 1st, with Alan Welch anytime between 11:00 and 3:00pm.  This was his summary:

I will have almost all my models there in costume, plus an armorer making chain mail and other folks in “garb”, a classical trio, a “goth” dancer, armored knights demonstrating swordplay and heaven knows what else.”

Sounds awesome.  My understanding is it will take place in Brightleaf Square, where he will have a show running through Nov. 15th.  I’ve also just learned that Alan will be the Art Guest of Honor at ConCarolinas this coming May.  Way to go Alan!

In my own writing news, Star’s Seduction will go up on EDF Friday, Nov. 28th.

I made my word count for this week, which was a great relief, and squeaked in an extra 100 words.  Woot!

Since I’ve also lowered my end goal from 100,000 to 90,000 in order to better reflect the YA market, it looks like this week was extra productive.

I’ve got no complaints with that. 😉
