I have a people in my wip that sometimes spend time in swan form.  Lovely but dangerous, they are the guardians of the portals.  When you look at a pic like this, it’s easy to see the origin of my inspiration.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’ve found some info that was news to me.  Did you know swans are black when native to Australia?  Or that the Mute Swan is not, in fact, mute?  Lots of cool facts to be found.  And all of it ready-made for me to glean.
