Our car recently decided it needed a vacation. When we didn’t provide one, it took a few days off under the pretense of ‘calling in sick’. That was the week before last, and though we grumbled, we decided to let the issue slide. After all, we rarely give it any time off.
Then last week, over Thanksgiving, we gave it most of the weekend off. Hardly took it anywhere for four days. But apparently the soft life has gone to it’s head because yesterday it acted down in the dumps, and today it’s called in sick again.
If you see my car, could you explain that sitting in a cushy warm auto garage is a vacation, not sick leave, and tell it to get on home and back to work?
