I haven’t done one of those ‘this week in words’ posts in a long while, but if I did, this weeks’ words would include a lot of fast action verbs, several dealing with parties and holidays, and a few unmentionable curse words.
We’ve had workmen of one sort or another out here every day this week. For the most part, they’ve done very well and have settled into the family routine to the point that we no longer noticed them.  So it was a bit of a nuisance but all was well–until one of them cut the phone line this afternoon.
That’s okay, though. They’ve patched us up with a temporary line running half way around the world ’til they can find the slice and fix it up. Personally, I plan to teach the kids to jump rope with the give in the wire. 😛
Now for a laugh thanks to Cindy, whose blog I will add to the roll once her permission has been obtained. Since I can’t seem to embed it here, you’ll have to follow this link over if you want to see Penelope in Traffic School from Saturday Night Live. It seems impossible to entirely avoid people like this, so the show will probably remind you of someone. Let’s just hope it never, ever reminds us of ourselves.
