Happy Pinch Day

This morning I pulled a green plaid turtleneck from the closet, even though it’s not a favorite shirt and the weather would have allowed for something cooler.  You’d think this was just a wise precaution on Patty’s Day, but I didn’t even realize that this most beloved of all pinching holidays had arrived.

Except, maybe, on a cosmic level.  I guess twenty or so years of training in a household where green was a must come St. Patrick’s Day has sunk into my consciousness and taken over an otherwise overlooked part of my brain.  Nice to know the real estate’s being developed.  Now if only I could train my brain to cook in my sleep, type my novel while I’m chatting with friends, and tend the kids while I read the latest fiction release.  Who knows, with my brain doing double duty I might leave a legacy as illustrious as St Patrick, and everyone could pull each other’s hair to celebrate.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hi Suanne, I wonder if you can help me? Some months ago, Caleb Warnock sent me a very nice email asking for permission to reprint a story of mine in The Sigurd Journal. I gave permission but didn’t hear back from Caleb. I’ve emailed him a couple of times but no reply. Is the Sigurd Journal still going? What’s the best way to get in touch with Caleb? Sorry to post this here, and thanks for your help. Sarah

No problem, Sarah. I’m guessing email is still the best way to catch Caleb, though I think he’s behind right now. I’ll drop him a note, as well, and see if I can find what’s up. From the small things I’ve heard, I suspect he’s just been snowed under by life and will be back on top of tsj soon.
