My story came back in the mail today . . . I was a quarterfinalist.  Which is probably pretty good, given that it was a dragon fantasy story (that’s two strikes against it) and very long at 12,000 words. 

I dare say no more, for fear of sounding like an ungrateful wretch.

I’m getting it ready to send back out.  I’m also glad that I have so many stories in the works, and have already submitted a new story to WOTF for this quater, so I can’t mope.  Not that I want too, you understand.  There’s no way I’d be such a narcississtic egotistical little twit that I’d feel bummed about this . . . especially after helping myself to oreos and vanilla ice cream, all served on a platter of “they-don’t-know-what-they’re-missing.”
