We know that many dinosaurs were quite large and that wooly mammoths were bigger than elephants of today. Even tigers have shrunk over time. And now, it seems, the camels have been down-sizing too. According to a recent find in Syria, camels of about 100,000 years ago were almost twice the size they are now. So the question this prompts is, are the animals still shrinking? And if so, what are we going to do with dime-size dogs and lap-warmer horses? Get our kids a pet elephant to take for walks and teach to heel?Â
That might have a certain attraction, but can you imagine milking a cow the size of a poodle? And what about shearing a sheep the size of a tabby-cat?Â
